Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tetsuo Shima (ranked 1805 p4p, 3726 weight class) and Alan West (ranked 250 p4p, 429 weight class). Shima kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The HU - Yuve Yuve Yu. Alan West told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shima bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

West is rocked!
Shima misses the body punch
and West counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
West takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
West is still on wobbly legs! Can Shima finish him?
West walks straight into a right hand from Shima - that's dropped him! Shima jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save West from any more punishment! West complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
