Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Josue Everett!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smoke tries to work over Everett's front leg with a kick but Everett checks it.
Smoke swings and misses with a shot to the body
letting Everett counter with a right hand.
Everett dips to his left and cracks Smoke with an uppercut!
Everett lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Smoke at a distance.
Kadarius Smoke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice uppercut lands for Everett. That snapped Smoke's head back.
Everett tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smoke sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Everett somewhat.
As Everett looks to move away, Smoke throws a big counter combo but Everett just gets out of the way.
Smoke keeps the fight on the outside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smoke tries a head kick but it misses.
Everett is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Smoke closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Everett did well to prevent Smoke getting side control.
Smoke is taking a breather. Everett says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Everett is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Smoke throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Everett is looking to control Smoke's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Everett avoid being mounted?

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Smoke throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Everett tries to stall but Smoke uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Everett will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Smoke up against the cage.
Smoke is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Everett to keep the fight standing.
Smoke jumps guard but Everett stands there with Smoke around his waist. Smoke gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Everett is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Smoke has his hands clasped together but Everett extends and breaks Smoke's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Everett.
