Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maurice Boma (ranked 1572 p4p, 1529 weight class) and Tom Tomson (ranked 203 p4p, 196 weight class). Tom Tomson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Maurice Boma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tom Tomson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boma throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
It seemed like Tomson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That kick from Tomson tenderised Boma's leg. Boma is trying to keep his angry face on.
Tomson drops his hands momentarily and Boma takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Boma uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tomson.
Boma slips under a jab from Tomson.
Tomson lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A chopping leg kick lands by Boma.
Tomson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Tomson looks to land a left hand but Boma moved out of range nicely.
Boma fires out a quick counter leg kick but Tomson just manages to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Boma ducks under a wild hook from Tomson.
Boma swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Boma's corner calls for a 1-2. Boma obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Boma misses with a kick to the body
and Tomson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Tomson drops Boma with a straight right hand, right on the button! Tomson follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Tomson!
As Tom Tomson got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Iov Kuzmin! You are a young up and comer! I want you next! Step up!'.
