The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ganikov.
Ganikov drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Good defends it well.

Ganikov moves into range and clinches up with Good.
Good swings wildly with an uppercut but Ganikov uses good head movement to avoid it.

Ganikov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ganikov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Good's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ganikov is looking for a kimura but Good is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ganikov to get the leverage.

Good tries to bum rush Ganikov with a series of wild strikes but Ganikov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Ganikov moves into the clinch successfully.

I was talking to Good's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
