Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Samson (ranked 4676 p4p, 3141 weight class) and Marcoh Haas (ranked 470 p4p, 351 weight class). Samson comes to the cage accompanied by Face The Pain- STEMM. Haas has chosen Pulse and Anxiety as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Jack Samson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jack Samson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcoh Haas!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Samson throws the left hand but Haas avoids the punch easily.
Samson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Samson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Marcoh Haas has been cut.
Marcoh Haas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Haas connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Samson's hands.
Sloppy strikes from Haas. Those never looked like landing.

Haas unleashes a big counter combination but Samson bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Samson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Samson throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Haas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Samson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Haas takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Samson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Samson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Haas's shoulder. That is not cool.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Samson scores with a couple of short elbows.
The ground and pound from Samson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Haas takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Samson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Samson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Haas is letting Samson control him for a moment.

Haas is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Samson asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Haas is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Haas can do anything to dispel that myth.

Samson wants to control but Haas is keeping him busy.
Samson in side control, throwing shots but Haas defends.
Haas is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Haas tests Samson's chin there with a solid looking shot.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Haas connects with a nice looking jab.

Samson pushes Haas up against the cage in a clinch.
Haas tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Samson wants to take the fight to the mat but Haas manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Haas blocks an uppercut.

Samson has clasped his hands together around Haas's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Haas dodges the ground and pound from Samson.
Samson looks up at the clock and then as Haas takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Samson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Haas is rocked!

Haas is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Haas is still in real trouble! Can Samson finish him?
Haas on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jack Samson will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Marcoh Haas's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Haas throws a jab but it's blocked by Samson.
Samson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Haas.

Haas gets tackled into the cage by Samson. Samson maintains the clinch.
Haas stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Samson has a couple of punches blocked by Haas.
Haas can't find room to land a body shot as Samson controls the action.
Haas is leaning against Samson and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Samson lands with a right to the head.
Samson throws a punch but it's blocked by Haas.

Samson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Samson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Samson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Haas has momentary wrist control but Samson slips an elbow through the middle.
Haas wants to stand and escape but Samson is having none of it.
Samson postures up in Haas's guard and throws a big left but Haas blocks it.
Haas has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Banzai Combat Academy LA. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Samson gets to his feet and stands over Haas, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Haas felt that one! Samson unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Haas from any more punishment!
