Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brock Duncan (ranked 3401 p4p, 2321 weight class) and Kai Asakura (ranked 201 p4p, 143 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kai Asakura!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duncan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Duncan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Duncan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Duncan sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Asakura is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Duncan tries to advance to mount but Asakura denies him.
Duncan working the strikes but Asakura uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Asakura avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Duncan.
Duncan throwing shots but Asakura is blocking nicely.
Asakura looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Duncan looks to land a strike but Asakura avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Duncan throws a sloppy strike and Asakura has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Duncan is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Asakura!

A relieved looking Kai Asakura thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
