Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Parker (ranked 1620 p4p, 2226 weight class) and Kwame Kombate (ranked 168 p4p, 208 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Samuel Parker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kwame Kombate! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good standup being displayed there by Kombate as he connects with a hook.
It looks like Samuel Parker has been cut. Parker misses with an attempted mid kick.
A left lands for Kombate. Kombate cracks Parker with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Kombate with a jab. Kombate scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kombate ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Parker with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kombate to score with a decent uppercut. Kombate's coach down at Gym To Nica was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kombate's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Kombate checks a leg kick. Kwame Kombate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This has been an exciting period of action! Kombate works over Parker's head and body with a nice combination. Parker definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kombate lands a jab to the head.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kombate, as that shot connected.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Parker misses with a kick to the body.
Kombate connects with a jab.
Samuel Parker's cut is getting worse. Parker tries a head kick but it misses.
Kombate lands a hook that stumbles Parker back into the cage. Kombate follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Parker to the canvas! Kombate pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Parker has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Kwame Kombate! In his post fight interview, Kwame Kombate started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
