PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oisin Nolan (ranked 5308 p4p, 2889 weight class) and Sergio Miller (ranked 429 p4p, 272 weight class). Miller is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Boogieman. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Oisin Nolan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sergio Miller!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miller fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nolan sprawls well initially but Miller persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Miller looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Miller escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nolan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Nolan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Miller's guard.

Miller shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nolan pinned against the cage. Nolan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Miller can do anything to dispel that myth.

Nolan manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Miller keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
