Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rony Shields!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ronin Hernandez!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shields to the mat! Shields manages to get full guard.
Hernandez is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Hernandez won't allow Shields to sweep him here.
Hernandez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Shields being controlled here, momentarily.
Shields has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hernandez has passed into side control.
Shields can't do much from the bottom here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hernandez lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Shields down.
Shields gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Shields is defending against the submission attempts here by Hernandez.
