Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 5644 p4p, 23023 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Xxx Xxx was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 122 - 27 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 129 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Fighter A shoots in and bounces Fighter B off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Fighter A engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Fighter A has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter B is trying to control the position but Fighter A postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter A sitting in guard here, content to control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Fighter A postures up.
Fighter A slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Fighter B wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Fighter B tries to sprawl but Fighter A drives through with a takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter A content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Fighter A thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Fighter A is controlling the pace.
Fighter B has his hands clasped together around Fighter A's back. He's all about the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter B trying to control from the bottom.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Fighter A lands with a punch from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fighter B is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Fighter A shoots in for a takedown but Fighter B shows good takedown defense. Fighter B steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Fighter B looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. And Fighter A counters with a quick kick to the body but Fighter B blocks it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter B shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fighter B showed some decent athleticism there. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Xxx Xxx dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Fighter B fails with a takedown attempt from distance. It appears Fighter A was looking to counter with a kick there. Fighter B shoots in looking for a takedown but Fighter A manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fighter B's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Fighter A looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Fighter A sitting in guard, not really doing much. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter A seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fighter B for as long as he can get away with. Fighter B has Fighter A pulled in close to control his posture. Fighter A keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fighter B's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fighter A won't allow Fighter B to sweep him here. Fighter A not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Fighter A shoots for a double leg takedown but Fighter B sprawls well. He's pushed Fighter A's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Fighter A shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Fighter B pulls Fighter A in close to his closed guard and prevents Fighter A from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Fighter A throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fighter B works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Fighter B being controlled here, momentarily.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter A drives through with a takedown into Fighter B's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Xxx Xxx dominated that second round. That's time! Fighter A's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! Fighter B doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fighter A counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Fighter B tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Fighter A defends well and Fighter B ends up having to push Fighter A into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Fighter A went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Fighter B bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter B dives in for a single leg takedown but Fighter A sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx. Fighter B shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fighter A napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter A is looking to regain half guard here but Fighter B keeps moving and retains side control. Fighter A is trying to control Fighter B's posture but Fighter B avoids it. Fighter B working the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sloppy strikes there by Fighter B. Xxx Xxx overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fighter B throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Fighter A works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Fighter A has his hands clasped together around Fighter B's back. He's all about the action. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Fighter B. Fighter B shoots for a takedown but Fighter A saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Fighter A was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Fighter A stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fighter A wants it to stay on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. No luck with that takedown attempt from Fighter A. Fighter B throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fighter A's waist but Fighter A gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fighter B off to one side. It appears Fighter A was looking to counter with a kick there. Xxx Xxx has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Xxx Xxx is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Fighter A closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fighter A lands in his opponent's guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter A stays in close to Fighter B's body and controls the position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Xxx Xxx. Well Fighter A has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
