Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Djordje Stankovic (ranked 2092 p4p, 2266 weight class) and Trace Mack (ranked 274 p4p, 299 weight class). Stankovic kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Post Malone ft. 21 Savage - rockstar. The key to victory for Djordje Stankovic has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mack gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Stankovic to counter with a crisp jab.
We've been told by Stankovic's head coaches at Banzai Combat Academy LA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Trace Mack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stankovic works over Mack's head and body with a nice combination.

Mack shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stankovic's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Stankovic pushes Mack off and gets back to his feet.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mack walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Stankovic, as that shot connected.
Mack takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Mack shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mack was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Stankovic tries to bench press Mack off him but Mack keeps the position.

Mack has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Stankovic!
Stankovic is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mack can do to turn this around?
Mack fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mack thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stankovic is trying desperately to improve position.

Mack misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Mack feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
