Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronaldez Reno! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Thlek Buidi! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reno's corner calls for a 1-2. Reno obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Reno shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Buidi is trying to defend but Reno finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The fighters are battling for position here. Buidi manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Reno throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Buidi works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Reno trying to control the position from guard on top but Buidi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Buidi is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buidi trying to control but Reno is working from the bottom. Buidi content to stall in guard here. Buidi trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Reno is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Buidi makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Reno wants to hit a sweep here but Buidi passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Reno there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reno tries to lock up and control but Buidi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Reno knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Buidi on the ground. Buidi landing strikes, looking to finish! Buidi controlling from mount. Buidi throwing strikes here but Reno is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Buidi looking to secure an arm triangle but Reno defends it well. Reno tries to hold on but Buidi postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buidi unloading with bombs! Buidi tries to control but Reno wriggling away. Buidi misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Reno wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Buidi.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Buidi has isolated one of Reno's arms. Reno looking to fight him off but Buidi twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
