Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Porier Slap (ranked 4861 p4p, 5031 weight class) and Johnny Silverhand (ranked 0 p4p, 488 weight class). Johnny Silverhand will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Porier Slap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Silverhand!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silverhand displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Slap.
Slap tries to close the distance and clinch but Silverhand swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Silverhand throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Slap takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Slap throws a sloppy head kick and Silverhand moves out of range easily.
Silverhand dives in for a single leg takedown but Slap sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Slap really is a fat lump.
Silverhand fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Slap has closed the distance and engaged Silverhand in a clinch.
Slap fails to pull the fight into his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Silverhand has Slap pressed against the cage, preventing Slap from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Slap is trying to drag Silverhand to the mat but Silverhand just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Slap tries to stall but Silverhand uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Silverhand escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Slap throws a push kick but Silverhand slaps the foot to one side.
Silverhand lands a high kick!
Slap shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silverhand as he avoids it easily.
Slap shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Silverhand sprawls well. Silverhand wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Slap gets slowly back to his feet.

Silverhand feints and as Slap raises his hands in defense, Silverhand changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Silverhand tries to stand but Slap is controlling from the bottom.

Slap has control of Silverhand's left arm, preventing Silverhand from doing any damage.
Silverhand wants to stand and escape but instead Slap has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Slap stops Silverhand from standing up.
Silverhand manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Slap manages to get himself to full guard.

Silverhand is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Silverhand advances to half guard.
Slap wants to get back to full guard.
Silverhand controlling the action here.
Silverhand seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Slap does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Silverhand looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Silverhand is keen to just control but Slap is a slippery customer.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Slap tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silverhand sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Slap somewhat.
Slap ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Silverhand closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Slap kicks off Silverhand and gets to his feet.
Porier Slap is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Slap looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silverhand is fending him off so far but Slap persists. Nope, Silverhand circles away and we're back to standing.
Silverhand is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Silverhand throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Slap's waist but Slap gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silverhand off to one side.

Slap throws a quick counter kick to the body but Silverhand avoids it.
Horrible takedown attempt by Slap or perhaps it was just good defense by Silverhand, which made it look bad.
Slap shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silverhand pinned against the cage. Silverhand gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silverhand is looking to take a break and control but Slap is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Slap is trying to improve his position.

Silverhand thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Silverhand really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Slap. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Silverhand decides to stand back up.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Porier Slap.
Well Silverhand has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
