Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan White (ranked 23323 p4p, 3963 weight class) and Abel Harper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dan White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Abel Harper!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Harper has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

White moves into the clinch.

Harper gets control of White's arms and successfully pulls guard. Harper will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
White tries to free his leg and advance position but Harper is retaining full guard.
Harper pulls White in to control the position.

Harper has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but White can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
White throws a big right hand that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
White trying to control the position from guard on top but Harper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Harper wants to sweep but no luck.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Harper throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
White throwing strikes from guard but Harper blocks nicely.
Harper wants to stand and escape but White is having none of it.

Harper has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes White off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Harper stuffs the takedown attempt from White. White gets slowly back to his feet.
Harper throws a counter combo.
White looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

White fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Harper, pushing him back against the cage.
White stalling the fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Harper looking for a takedown.

White escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Harper fails with the takedown
and White finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Harper tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but White defends well and Harper ends up having to push White into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Dan White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abel Harper.

and White counters with a left and a right that stings Harper.
White shoots in but Harper avoids the takedown attempt easily.
White looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Harper slaps away a takedown attempt from White, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and White counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Horrible takedown attempt by Harper or perhaps it was just good defense by White, which made it look bad.

Harper takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Abel Harper has been cut.

White has managed to clinch.
Harper tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and White avoids it.
White wants to take the fight to the mat but Harper manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

White escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Harper looks to throw a body kick
and White makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

White takes the fight into the clinch.
Harper gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from White.
Harper keeps control of White as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
White prevents a body shot from Harper.

White manages to break the clinch.
White scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Harper closes this distance looking for a takedown but White circles away.
Harper shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has White pinned against the cage. White gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Harper dives in and grabs White's left leg, looking for a takedown. White pushes down on Harper's head and hops out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Harper is on the wrong end of a nice combination from White.

White closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
White scores a nice knee to the body.
White has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Harper is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Harper defends well against a solid takedown attempt from White.
Harper dives in and grabs White's left leg, looking for a takedown. White pushes down on Harper's head and hops out.

Harper gets tackled into the cage by White. White maintains the clinch.
White prevents Harper from breaking the clinch.
White lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

White pulls guard effortlessly.
White throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Harper sitting in guard here, content to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harper is working White over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
White knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Harper on the ground.

Harper stays in close to White's body and controls the position.
Harper advances position into side control!
You can see the frustration on White's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
A lull in the action here as Harper stalls from top position.

Harper tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

White prevents Harper from improving position.
White is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Harper can do to turn this around?
White taking punishment in the form of punches.
White wants to control but Harper postures up.
Harper wants to control but White is keeping him busy.
Harper tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Harper decides to stand back up. Harper steps back and let's White get back to his feet.
Harper takes a kick to the side of the head.
White tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

White drives through and clinches with Harper against the cage.

Harper jumps into guard, dragging White to the mat.
White preventing the sweep.
White trying to control but Harper is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harper has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Harper working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. White doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. White manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
White won't allow Harper to sweep him here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Harper lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Harper postures up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Abel Harper showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

That kick from White tenderised Harper's leg. Harper is trying to keep his angry face on.
Dan White is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

White keeps the fight on the outside.

White is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Harper pulls him back up using the underhooks.

A quick step to the side and White tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

White forces Harper back against the cage and clinches.
Harper stalls.
White is trying to pull guard but Harper has him pressed against the cage.
White prevents the takedown attempt.

White pulls guard successfully.
Harper passes into half guard.
White tries to get to full guard but Harper has control of the leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

White looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
White won't allow Harper to pass to mount.
Harper wants to take a breather but White is having none of it.
Harper seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Harper is nestled in close to White, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Harper trying to control from half guard but White is working away.
Harper takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
White wants to get back to full guard.
Ground and pound from Harper.
Nice strikes from Harper there.
White is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Harper scores with a couple of nice shots.
White has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Harper is working away from the top position though.
Harper is nestled in close to White, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Harper is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Harper stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
White is looking to clinch.
As White backs off Harper throws a huge counter combo but White manages to avoid it all.
White shoots in looking for a takedown. Harper tries to sprawl out of it but White keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Harper manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
White tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Harper manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
White avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Harper shoots for a double leg takedown but White sprawls well. He's pushed Harper's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Harper misses with a wild combination.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Abel Harper.
I think Harper has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
