Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kugus Amiga (ranked 23409 p4p, 23412 weight class) and Clifford Val Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 55 - 51 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kugus Amiga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 32 - 78 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clifford Val Salvacion! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Amiga shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Salvacion is trying to defend but Amiga finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Amiga perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Salvacion has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Amiga is working away from the top position though. Well, if Amiga is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion controlling the position well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amiga controlling the action here. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Salvacion is trying to control but can't.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Salvacion shoots in and drives through. Amiga sprawls well. Amiga stuffs the takedown. Amiga looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Salvacion is fending him off so far but Amiga persists. Nope, Salvacion circles away and we're back to standing. Amiga fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Salvacion avoids it really well and circles away. Salvacion thinks about the counter body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Salvacion is fending him off so far but Amiga persists. Nope, Salvacion circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kugus Amiga. That's going to take a lot out of him. Salvacion slaps away a takedown attempt from Amiga, before circling back to the center of the mat. Salvacion follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Amiga misses with a takedown and Salvacion counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Still in half guard, Salvacion seems content to control. Amiga wants to get back to full guard but Salvacion has passed into side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Amiga is holding Salvacion down, trying to stall. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Clifford Val Salvacion dominated that round. That's time! Amiga's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Amiga has his takedown stuffed and Salvacion counters with a good, hard body kick but Amiga shrugs it off. Salvacion feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Salvacion sitting in guard, not really doing much. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion is fighting to break Amiga's control of his arms but Amiga is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Salvacion slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Salvacion stopping the sweep attempt from Amiga.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Salvacion drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga trying to keep a closed guard but Salvacion is proving a slippery customer.
Salvacion showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Amiga wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Salvacion tries to free his leg and advance position but Amiga is retaining full guard. Amiga pulls Salvacion in close to his closed guard and prevents Salvacion from doing any damage or advancing position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Salvacion works over Amiga with some ground and pound from guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! No luck for Amiga with that takedown attempt. Salvacion throws a fast counter high kick but Amiga manages to duck under it in time. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Clifford Val Salvacion showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! No luck with that takedown attempt from Salvacion. Amiga is looking to counter with a body kick. Amiga drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Salvacion has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Amiga won't allow Salvacion to sweep him here.

I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Salvacion has Amiga pulled in close to control his posture. Salvacion can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Amiga controls the pace. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Salvacion controlling Amiga's posture.

Salvacion is trying hard to land a takedown here. Amiga sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Amiga went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Salvacion stuffs the takedown attempt from Amiga. Amiga gets slowly back to his feet. Salvacion thinks about the counter body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Amiga or perhaps it was just good defense by Salvacion, which made it look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kugus Amiga. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck for Salvacion with that takedown attempt. Amiga throws a quick counter kick to the body but Salvacion avoids it.

Salvacion changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Amiga looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kugus Amiga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Clifford Val Salvacion is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Salvacion wants to lay and pray for a moment but Amiga keeps working. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salvacion is staying tight to Amiga's torso, preventing him from escaping.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Clifford Val Salvacion. Well Salvacion has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
