Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nino Waller (ranked 5372 p4p, 5101 weight class) and Jacob Song (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nino Waller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jacob Song! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Song comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Waller will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Donk. Waller catches Song right on the button with a cross. Waller with the inside leg kick. Waller will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Waller lunges at Song with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Song's hand. Song throws a right and a left that Waller avoids nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Song throws a series of punches but Waller avoids them all with ease. A looping hook to the body misses from Song. Waller does a little dance to reset his feet. Song throws a right and a left that Waller avoids nicely. Waller was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Song fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Waller manages to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waller circles away from the clinch attempt and Waller counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Song throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Waller counters with a lovely straight right hand! Waller gets in close and instigates a clinch. Waller wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Waller is trying to break the clinch but Song is controlling him. Waller pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Waller looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Waller really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Song misses with a few strikes there.
Waller ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Waller scores with a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Good leg kick by Waller. Waller scores with a nice head shot. Waller throws a combination. Song tries to block but a couple of punches get through. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Song is looking to clinch. Waller is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Song. Waller scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Waller scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Waller has closed the distance and engaged Song in a clinch.
Song's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Decent striking displayed by Waller there. Jacob Song is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Song misses with a wild combination.

and Waller counters with a nice uppercut. Waller rushes Song and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Waller slowing the pace effectively. Song tries to circle away but Waller has him pinned against the cage. Waller breaks the clinch.

and Waller counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Song thinking. Waller takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Waller lands a lovely overhand right. Song jabbing away but nothing is landing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Waller scores with a hook to the body. Song takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Waller misses with a head kick.
Waller is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Waller clinches with his opponent.
Waller's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Waller changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Song looks to land a combination but Waller avoids it well. Waller scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Waller lands a jab-cross combination. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nino Waller dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Waller closes the distance and pushes Song back into the cage. Waller breaks from the clinch.
Song looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A telegraphed right hand from Song misses the target. Nino Waller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Waller lands with a nice body punch. Sloppy strikes from Waller. Those never looked like landing. Waller is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Waller bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Song's head. Waller is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Song wants to clinch and Song takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Waller looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Waller is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Song can do to turn this around? Song misses with the combination.
Waller fires out a quick counter leg kick but Song just manages to avoid it. Song moves in looking to clinch but Waller pushes him off. A left and a right from Waller both land. Nice combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Song on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jab from Waller. Song throws an off balance right hand
and Waller counters with a nice uppercut. Waller ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. The fight moves into the clinch position. A nice right hand lands inside from Waller. Song wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Waller has him pressed against the cage. Waller wants to get back to striking at distance but Song won't allow it.
Waller wants to break free but Song has control.
Waller is trying to push Song away but Song has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Waller escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Waller moves into the clinch. Waller pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Song has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Waller. A nice inside leg kick there by Waller. That's going to slow Song down. Song takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. A lazy left from Waller finds it's target. Waller scores with a jab. Song acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Waller digs a good body shot into Song's ribs. Waller turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Waller uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Song has time to react. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Waller stalks Song and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Song's face. Song staggers backwards, shaken. Waller feints a jab promting Song to slip. Waller then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Song slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Waller cracks Song with a right hand to the side of the head. A punch lands to the side of Song 's head but he takes it in his stride. Waller lands a jab-cross combination. Waller scores with a leg kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nino Waller dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! Waller lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Waller throws a sloppy body shot
enabling Song to counter with a crisp jab. Song throws a series of punches but Waller moves out of range. Song is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Waller. Song misses with a looping right. Waller scores with a body shot.

Waller half committed to a counter leg kick. Song's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fight stays on the outside here - Song looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Song takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Waller works the jab nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. A punch lands to the side of Song 's head but he takes it in his stride. Song wants to clinch but Waller slips to the side and Waller counters with a one-two to the body. Song ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Waller moves away. Waller throws a counter high kick but Song was just alert enough to avoid it. Waller punishes Song's body with a nice straight punch. Waller moves into the clinch. Waller tries to circle away but Song has him pinned against the cage. Song tries to break the clinch but Waller is controlling the position. Song pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Song swats away the attempt to clinch by Waller. Waller looks for a takedown but Song sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Song takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Waller tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Waller has closed the distance and engaged Song in a clinch.
Song escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Waller wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Waller with a nice cross. A shot to the liver by Waller. Beautiful body shot. Waller scores with a one two! Song had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Song. Those never looked like landing. Waller has Song up against the cage in a clinch.
Waller escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Song walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Waller cracks Song with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Waller lands with a thumping leg kick.
Song steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Waller. That one must have hurt. Waller lands with a hook. Song tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Good leg kick by Waller.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Waller fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Song has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A kick lands to the mid section there for Waller. Waller scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A nice inside leg kick there by Waller. That's going to slow Song down. Waller closes the distance and lands a one-two. Waller lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Waller scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Song doesn't seem bothered though. Waller scores with a push kick. Jacob Song has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nino Waller is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Waller looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
And that's the end of the fight! Nino Waller showed his dominance in that final round. Well Waller has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
