Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Rivera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Shannon!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shannon uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rivera.
Rivera throws a head kick that misses.
Shannon throws a sloppy head kick and Rivera moves out of range easily.
Rivera fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Shannon, pushing him back against the cage.
Rivera gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Nice strikes from Rivera there.
Rivera passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Shannon!

Rivera is landing with some decent strikes but Shannon is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Shannon wants to control but Rivera is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee warns Shannon that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Rivera looking for a guillotine from mount but Shannon is having none of it.
Rivera lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Rivera is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Rivera!
