Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Porier Slap (ranked 5579 p4p, 3895 weight class) and Cohen Barron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Porier Slap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cohen Barron!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slap shoots for a double leg takedown but Barron sprawls well. He's pushed Slap's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Slap has taken the fight to the clinch.
Slap tries to circle away but Barron has him pinned against the cage.
Slap wants to break free but Barron has control.

Barron pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Barron jabs at Slap's body.
Barron shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Slap as he avoids it easily.
Slap really is a fat lump.
Barron shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Slap but Slap pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Slap wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Barron gets a clinch.
Barron tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Barron tries for a takedown but Slap manages to get underhooks.

Barron pulls Slap into guard.
Slap might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Barron manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Slap manages to get himself to full guard.

Slap pulls Barron in close to his closed guard and prevents Barron from doing any damage or advancing position.
Barron slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Slap pulls Barron in close to prevent any damage.

Barron keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Slap's head.
Slap wants to stand up but Barron is controlling him.
Barron stands up over Slap, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Barron looking to sit in guard and control but Slap gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Slap won't allow Barron to sweep him here.
Slap trying to control but Barron is working from the bottom.
Barron really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Slap. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Barron is trying to control the position but Slap postures up.

Barron looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Barron trying to keep a closed guard but Slap is proving a slippery customer.
Slap throws a big right hand that misses.
Slap not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Slap pushes Barron up against the cage in a clinch.
Barron jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Slap walks away with a smile on his face. Barron gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Slap manages to pull guard.
Slap looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Barron lands a couple of elbows.
Barron slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Barron trying to control the position from guard on top but Slap is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Slap can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Barron controls the pace.
Slap has a closed guard, preventing Barron from standing up.
Slap wants to sweep but no luck.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Slap is looking to stand up but Barron isn't so interested in that idea.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Slap slaps away a takedown attempt from Barron, before circling back to the center of the mat.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Barron fails to land the takedown.
Slap fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Barron checks it well.
Barron shoots in and drives through. Slap sprawls well.
Slap shoots in looking for a takedown but Barron manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Slap's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Despite the aggression on Barron's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Slap tries to keep at a distance but Barron has taken the fight into the clinch.
Slap jumps guard but Barron turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Slap has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Barron uses from the top position.

Barron has gone for a leg lock! Slap slips out almost immediately though and dives into Barron's guard.


Slap is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Barron is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Barron has escaped and now he's on top!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barron drops back looking for a leg! Slap is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Slap manages to kick Barron off! Barron jumps back into Slap's guard.

Slap is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Barron is aware though and is defending well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Porier Slap will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!

Barron lands a jab to Slap's midsection.
Slap fails with the takedown.
Slap shoots in looking for a takedown. Barron tries to sprawl out of it but Slap keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barron manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Barron has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Slap uses from the top position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Barron can do anything to dispel that myth.

Barron tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Slap swivels and escapes.
Barron has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Barron is looking for a triangle here but Slap uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Slap wants to lay and pray for a moment but Barron keeps working.
Barron wants to control but Slap postures up.
Slap looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Barron is avoiding damage well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Barron tries to buck Slap off but Slap is having none of it.

Cohen Barron comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Barron has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
