Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Forelli (ranked 3963 p4p, 4045 weight class) and Daniel White (ranked 377 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Forelli throws a combination that misses

and White counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
White tries to land knees in the clinch but Forelli avoids the damage to the body.
White tries to land a knee to the head but Forelli blocks with his arms.

White has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Forelli uses from the top position.

Forelli drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Forelli jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

White has his feet on Forelli's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
White tries to move into range but Forelli moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

White drops down looking for an ankle pick but Forelli pulls his leg out and moves away.

White tries a low kick but Forelli avoids it.
Forelli fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
No luck for White with that takedown attempt.

Mike Forelli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel White.

White turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and White manages to end up in side control.

White looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

White really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Forelli. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Forelli is working for a rear naked choke. White is not defending it well and Forelli has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! White refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of White's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
