The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Abner has hold of Hestler's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hestler manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Abner can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hestler is looking to escape.

Abner is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Hestler knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Hestler for a finish.

Abner has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hestler has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Abner had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hestler defends it easily.
Abner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
