Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Diego Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Germano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by You Dont Know - 50 Cent. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eric Germano! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Germano sprawls well. Germano wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Silva gets slowly back to his feet. Germano scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Germano trying to pass the guard but Silva defending well. Germano misses with a head shot. Silva uses the momentum to regain guard. Germano works a leg free and moves into half guard. Germano is working for a submission of some sort.

That's one minute gone in the round. Silva is trying to get back to full guard. Silva avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Germano. Silva looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Germano not landing any meaningful shots this time.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. A leg kick checked by Germano. Silva tries for a takedown but Germano circles away easily and Germano decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard. Germano drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Germano has Silva in his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Germano keeping full guard, as Silva tries to pass. Silva is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Germano kicks Silva off and gets to his feet. Germano throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva lands a nice leg kick that just misses Germano's sensitive parts. Silva tries for a takedown but Germano circles away easily and Germano counters with a low kick, right behind Silva 's knee. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Germano.
Germano gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Silva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Silva preventing the sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Germano is looking to stand up but Silva isn't so interested in that idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva sitting in guard, not really doing much. Silva trying to control but Germano is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Germano dominated that round. That's time! Silva's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Germano with a poor takedown and Silva holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Germano jumps into guard, dragging Silva to the mat.
Germano wants to stand and escape but Silva is having none of it. Silva is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Germano working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Silva trying to control but Germano is working from the bottom. Silva is looking to work some ground and pound but Germano has wrist control. Silva throws a strike but Germano rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Germano connects with a couple of short punches. Silva avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Germano has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Silva is proving hard to escape from. Germano postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Silva is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Germano, into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva wants to control from the top but Germano keeps moving. Silva throws a strike but Germano rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Germano drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Germano has Silva in his guard. Silva throws a strike but Germano rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Silva keeping full guard, as Germano tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Diego Silva will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Germano lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Germano scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Germano shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Germano slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Germano is trying to get an arm triangle but Silva is defending well. Germano tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Germano has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Silva wants to control but Germano postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Germano tries to advance to mount but Silva instead regains half guard. Germano takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Silva trying to control from the bottom.
Germano is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Germano is pressing down on Silva's thigh, looking to free his foot. Silva is holding on for now. Germano looks to land a strike but Silva avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Germano drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Germano has Silva in his guard. Germano is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Silva trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Silva looking to sit in guard and control but Germano gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Germano prevents Silva from getting back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Germano trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Silva wants to sweep here but Germano controlling him for the moment. Germano is working Silva over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Germano passes easily into side control. Nice work. Germano tries to move to mount but Silva blocks the move with his legs. Silva can't do much from the bottom here. Germano goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Silva rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Germano's guard! Nice work there by Silva! Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Germano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Silva not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Germano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that's the end of the fight! Eric Germano comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Germano has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
