The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Kraag moves in looking to clinch but Loco pushes him off. Kraag moves into range and clinches up with Loco. Kraag gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Loco regains guard.
Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Kraag (2) vs (0) Loco Kraag wants to pass the guard but Loco is keeping the position. Kraag trying to control the position from guard on top but Loco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Loco is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Kraag (2) vs (2) Loco Kraag looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Loco looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kraag is looking to control Loco's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kraag avoid being mounted?
That's one minute gone in the round. Kraag is looking for a sweep. Loco is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kraag looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kraag could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Kraag is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Loco pulls his head out easily. Kraag looking for submissions off his back. Kraag has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Loco escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Loco! Score +3 for passing guard: Kraag (2) vs (5) Loco Kraag is breathing heavily. Loco wants to control but Kraag is keeping him busy.
