Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tiago Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marucs nine millimeter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). nine millimeter has chosen Lost Souls - Tupac as his entrance music. Marucs nine millimeter will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tiago Machida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marucs nine millimeter!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from nine millimeter.
nine millimeter stuffs the takedown attempt from Machida. Machida gets slowly back to his feet.
Machida changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. nine millimeter tries to avoid it but Machida manages to keep hold of a leg and drag nine millimeter to the ground. nine millimeter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Machida has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tiago Machida. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Machida shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Machida showed some decent athleticism there.

Machida looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Machida is trying to control the action in half guard but nine millimeter is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Machida is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. nine millimeter doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Machida.
Machida wants to free his trapped foot but nine millimeter is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Machida shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says nine millimeter as he avoids it easily.
Machida misses with a takedown attempt - nine millimeter sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

nine millimeter throws a right hand that Machida ducks under and follows up with a left that Machida also avoids with ease.

nine millimeter gets caught flat footed, as Machida shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Machida drops back, looking for a kneebar! nine millimeter looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. nine millimeter looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from nine millimeter!
Machida tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but nine millimeter wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Machida manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
nine millimeter is breathing heavily.
Machida trying to control from nine millimeter's half guard. nine millimeter has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Machida passes nine millimeter's left leg - he's now in half guard.
nine millimeter is refusing to be controlled, as Machida sits in half guard.
nine millimeter won't allow Machida to pass to mount.

nine millimeter trying to hold on to Machida's head to control him but Machida postures up.
Machida wants to pass to mount but nine millimeter is defending the position.
Machida is looking to stall here but nine millimeter recovers full guard.
Machida sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed nine millimeter's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Machida uses his free foot to push down on nine millimeter's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for nine millimeter.
Machida takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
nine millimeter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Machida. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Machida is going olschool here, as he tries to force nine millimeter to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so nine millimeter shrugs it off.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Machida is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but nine millimeter is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Machida is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. nine millimeter is trying to escape and Machida transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and nine millimeter is forced to tap! Nice work there by Machida! Very nice indeed!
