Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cartier Buffs (ranked 4270 p4p, 4042 weight class) and Zyary Arkoyan (ranked 449 p4p, 0 weight class). Zyary Arkoyan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cartier Buffs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zyary Arkoyan!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Arkoyan clinches with his opponent.
Buffs swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Arkoyan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Buffs misses with a straight left.
A telegraphed right hand from Buffs misses the target.
Buffs misses with a body shot
and Arkoyan counters with a low kick, right behind Buffs 's knee.
Arkoyan moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Arkoyan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A swing and a miss from Buffs.
Buffs is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Arkoyan.
Arkoyan slips a straight right by Buffs.
Arkoyan drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Buffs defends it well.
Buffs looks to score with a jab to the body but Arkoyan is just out of range.

Arkoyan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Buffs's guard.

Arkoyan stands up from Buffs's guard - Arkoyan perhaps looking for a knockout.
Cartier Buffs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Arkoyan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Buffs's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Arkoyan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Arkoyan is looking to work some ground and pound but Buffs has wrist control.

Buffs has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Arkoyan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Arkoyan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Buffs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Arkoyan has managed to get both his arms back between Buffs's legs - danger averted.
Buffs looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Arkoyan puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Arkoyan decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Arkoyan shoots in and gets a takedown into Buffs's guard.
Buffs looking to hit a scissor sweep but Arkoyan is one step ahead there.
Arkoyan looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Buffs has his foot on Arkoyan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Arkoyan works his way back into a safe position though.

Arkoyan has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Buffs to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Arkoyan is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Buffs pulls down on the head and he's put Arkoyan to sleep! This one is all over!
