Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Plugger Dukes (ranked 4465 p4p, 3598 weight class) and Deven Fitzwater (ranked 468 p4p, 418 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Plugger Dukes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Deven Fitzwater!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dukes with a jab.
Oooooh!!! Fitzwater has knocked Dukes down with a huge combo! Fitzwater steps away and waves a wobbly Dukes back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Dukes is rocked!
It looks like Plugger Dukes has been cut.
Fitzwater rushes Dukes and presses him up against the cage.
Oh Dukes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fitzwater is trying to push Dukes away but Dukes has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Dukes seems to have got his legs back now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fitzwater wants to take the fight to the mat but Dukes manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Fitzwater scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dukes doesn't seem bothered though.
Fitzwater tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Dukes is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Dukes's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Dukes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Dukes thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fitzwater's head.

Fitzwater is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Dukes not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Dukes throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

That was a close round but I would say that Plugger Dukes will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dukes gets through Fitzwater's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Dukes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dukes lands a jab to the head.
Fitzwater tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dukes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fitzwater somewhat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fitzwater tries to clinch but Dukes is having none of it.
Dukes is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fitzwater can do to turn this around?
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Fitzwater crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dukes - the referee stops the clock and Fitzwater gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dukes. Fitzwater manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Dukes lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fitzwater at a distance.
Dukes is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Dukes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fitzwater does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Fitzwater tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dukes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Fitzwater tries to score with a low kick but Dukes moves his leg out of the way.

Fitzwater closes the distance and pushes Dukes back into the cage.

Dukes's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Fitzwater is pressed up against the cage. Dukes has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fitzwater down to the mat. Fitzwater avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Dukes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fitzwater swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Dukes pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Fitzwater back to the cage. Dukes follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Plugger Dukes.
Well Dukes has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
