Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Kanetake Makio (ranked 3044 p4p, 5571 weight class) and Vanderlei Branco (ranked 121 p4p, 207 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Vanderlei Branco was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kanetake Makio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vanderlei Branco! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Makio fails with an attempt to clinch.
Makio lands with a nice combination. Branco backs away looking to recover. Branco moves into the clinch. Makio has had enough of the clinch but Branco keeps him there for the moment. Makio trying to stall but Branco improves his position.
Branco keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Makio's efforts to push away. Makio could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Branco trying to stall but Makio improves his position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Branco trying to control the position but instead, Makio has worked for underhooks and has pushed Branco into the ropes. Branco leaning against his opponent.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Vanderlei Branco. The fight moves into the clinch position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Makio wants to break free but Branco has control.
Makio tries to circle away but Branco has him pinned against the ropes. Branco is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Branco manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Branco is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Branco trying to stall but Makio improves his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Vanderlei Branco. Branco is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Makio just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Branco has gone limp and this one is over!
