Takana scores with a nice strike.
It looks like Bubba Dukes has been cut.
Takana connects with a body shot.
Dukes connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Dukes misses with a wild combination.
Takana avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Takana lands a big uppercut and Dukes crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Dukes looks OK. Takana waves Dukes back to his feet!
Dukes is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A telegraphed right hand from Dukes misses the target.
Dukes is still on wobbly legs! Can Takana finish him?
Dukes thows a left - swing and a miss!
Takana cracks Dukes with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Dukes falls to his knees and Takana doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Makoto Takana!
In defeat, Bubba Dukes stepped up to the mic, saying 'I got to get better. Work harder'.
