Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Alb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiko Gardeau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alb comes to the cage accompanied by Sandstorm. Tiko Gardeau will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Alb!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tiko Gardeau!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alb shoots in for a takedown but Gardeau shows good takedown defense.
Gardeau throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gardeau misses with a jab, cross combination.
Alb throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gardeau's waist but Gardeau gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alb off to one side.
Gardeau keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Alb. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Alb gets a takedown into half guard.
Alb is taking a breather. Gardeau says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Gardeau wants to get back to full guard.
Alb passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Gardeau!
Gardeau gets back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Alb perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Gardeau is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Alb has latched onto it... Big trouble! Alb pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Gardeau is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Alb!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ryan Alb!
