Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erick Colonel (ranked 3090 p4p, 3691 weight class) and Brent Huffman (ranked 368 p4p, 429 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Erick Colonel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brent Huffman!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colonel throws a head kick that misses.
Huffman throws a series of punches but Colonel avoids them all with ease.
Huffman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Colonel moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Colonel closes this distance looking for a takedown but Huffman circles away.

Colonel feints and as Huffman raises his hands in defense, Colonel changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Huffman can do anything to dispel that myth.
Colonel has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Huffman is proving hard to escape from.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Colonel would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Huffman takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Huffman cracks a nice hook into Colonel's ribs.
Colonel lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Colonel stalks Huffman and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Huffman's face. Huffman staggers backwards, shaken.
Colonel fails with a takedown attempt.
Huffman avoids the head kick by Colonel.
Huffman blocks a head kick by Colonel.
Colonel throws the kick towards the body but Huffman avoids it.
Huffman throws a series of punches but Colonel avoids them all with ease.
Colonel appears to be looking for a big counter.
Huffman fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Colonel shoots in looking for a takedown. Huffman tries to sprawl out of it but Colonel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Huffman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erick Colonel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Colonel is breathing heavily.
Colonel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Huffman as he avoids it easily.
A little jabbing left from Huffman on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Huffman bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Colonel's head.

Huffman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Colonel sprawls well initially but Huffman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Huffman is taking a breather. Colonel says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Huffman is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Colonel is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Colonel is bucking up trying to escape but Huffman cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Huffman looking to control but Colonel is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Huffman sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Huffman can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Colonel is looking to escape.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Brent Huffman will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Colonel looks for a takedown but Huffman sprawls well.
Colonel looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Huffman lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Colonel takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Colonel stuffs the takedown attempt from Huffman. Huffman gets slowly back to his feet.
Colonel moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Colonel fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erick Colonel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Colonel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Huffman sprawls well. Huffman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Colonel gets slowly back to his feet.
Huffman let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Colonel pivots, looking for a leg kick but Huffman is out of range and Colonel settles back down.
Huffman is looking for the big counter here.
Erick Colonel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Colonel shoots for a double leg takedown but Huffman sprawls well. He's pushed Colonel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Erick Colonel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Huffman moves out of range as Colonel throws a body kick.
Sloppy strikes from Huffman. Those never looked like landing.

Huffman works the jab nicely.

and Huffman counters with a right hand from hell and Colonel is out cold! A vicious knockout!
