Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James King (ranked 1616 p4p, 1460 weight class) and Michael Bostic (ranked 173 p4p, 158 weight class). Bostic is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Move. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 25 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, James King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Bostic!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body kick there by King.
King punishes Bostic's body with a nice straight punch.
Bostic throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jab, jab by Bostic - just one landing.
King looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bostic avoids a kick to the body.
Bostic misses with a lunging right hand
and King counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Bostic throws a hook but King avoids it easily.
Bostic throws a hook to the side of King's head but King sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
King misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bostic misses with a looping left.
Bostic blocks a head kick by King.
King lands a nice looking body kick.

King throws a hook to the side of Bostic's head but Bostic sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
King looks to land a body kick but Bostic moved away.
As King backs off Bostic throws a huge counter combo but King manages to avoid it all.
Bostic lands a jab-cross combination.

King lands a really nice looking cross but Bostic seems unphased.
King throws a head kick that Bostic semi-blocks.
Bostic is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Bostic tries to bum rush King with a series of wild strikes but King uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Michael Bostic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bostic takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Bostic throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around King's waist but King gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bostic off to one side.

and King counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by King.
King lands a nice uppercut.

King tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
King lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bostic backwards.

Bostic cracks King with a nice body shot.
King tries to work over Bostic's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
King digs a right hand underneath Bostic's ribcage. Bostic let out a lung full of air as it connected.
King goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
King prevents a body shot from Bostic.

Bostic is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. King can't fight it off and eventually Bostic manages to take the fight to the floor. King looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

King is looking to regain half guard here but Bostic keeps moving and retains side control.

Bostic has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bostic slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
King throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Bostic drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bostic. King does a little dance to reset his feet.
It looked like King wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
King scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

King with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bostic to score with a decent uppercut.

Bostic will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning King up against the cage.

Bostic lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt King or not.

Nice body punch from King - that landed with a thud.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
King wants to control but Bostic is keeping busy.
Bostic is keen to just control but King is a slippery customer.

King is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Bostic is sneakily working for an arm triangle but King sees it coming and defends easily.

King is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bostic can do to turn this around?

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Bostic tries to score with some ground and pound. King controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bostic cracks King with a big right hand but King just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Michael Bostic has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I think King has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
