Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Okano Kenta (ranked 4117 p4p, 4130 weight class) and Ishii Tatsuo (ranked 133 p4p, 134 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Okano Kenta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ishii Tatsuo! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Kenta as Tatsuo shoots in. Tatsuo moves into the clinch. Tatsuo gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kenta regains guard.
Tatsuo stays in close to Kenta's body and controls the position. Tatsuo throwing strikes from guard but Kenta blocks nicely. Tatsuo looking to pass the guard. Kenta throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Tatsuo escapes and throws Kenta's legs to the side, diving into side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tatsuo is putting a hurting on Kenta here, landing some big shots from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kenta can't do much from the bottom here. Tatsuo trying to control the position but Kenta is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kenta is looking for a sweep. Tatsuo cracks Kenta with a big right hand but Kenta just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Tatsuo decides to take the fight back to the feet. Kenta falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tatsuo counters by moving into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kenta pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tatsuo fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Tatsuo manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kenta on his heels. He'll look to pass Kenta's guard now, I'm sure. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tatsuo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kenta pulls Tatsuo in close to prevent any damage. Kenta not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Kenta tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tatsuo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kenta is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Tatsuo is controlling him well. Tatsuo scoring with punches from side control. Kenta is trying to buck Tatsuo off. Tatsuo scoring with punches and elbows. Tatsuo is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Kenta will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Kenta wants to get back to his feet but Tatsuo drags him back down. Tatsuo is trying to get an arm triangle but Kenta is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kenta is trying to control Tatsuo's posture but Tatsuo avoids it. Tatsuo controlling the position. Tatsuo stands up and beckons Kenta to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tatsuo rushes Kenta and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Tatsuo is looking for a takedown. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ishii Tatsuo dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Tatsuo shoots in and gets a takedown into Kenta's guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Kenta manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Kenta is trying to break the clinch but Tatsuo has him pressed against the cage. Kenta breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kenta is defended easily by Tatsuo. Tatsuo has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Tatsuo has a takedown stuffed. Kenta drops down looking for a counter takedown but Tatsuo sprawls and moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Horrible takedown attempt by Kenta or perhaps it was just good defense by Tatsuo, which made it look bad. Tatsuo avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kenta fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Okano Kenta. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tatsuo has Kenta up against the cage in a clinch.

Kenta breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tatsuo shoots in for a double leg but Kenta sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kenta connects with a looping right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tatsuo pushes Kenta up against the cage in a clinch. Kenta fails to pull guard.

Tatsuo is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kenta to keep the fight standing. Tatsuo jumps into guard, dragging Kenta to the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kenta decides to stand back up. Kenta steps back and let's Tatsuo get back to his feet. Tatsuo shoots in and drives through. Kenta sprawls well. Tatsuo avoids a kick to the body.
Kenta thuds a left hand into Tatsuo's body. Kenta shoots in for a double leg but Tatsuo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Tatsuo drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Kenta defends it well. Tatsuo has his takedown stuffed and Kenta counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kenta slaps away a takedown attempt from Tatsuo, before circling back to the center of the mat. Tatsuo shoots and misses and Kenta counters with a stiff right hand. Kenta shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tatsuo but Tatsuo pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kenta throws a right hand that Tatsuo ducks under and follows up with a left that Tatsuo also avoids with ease. Okano Kenta is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tatsuo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kenta avoids it really well and circles away. Kenta tries to clinch but Tatsuo moves out of range. Tatsuo throws a chopping leg kick but Kenta manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Kenta closes the distance and clinches up with Tatsuo, looking for a takedown. Kenta pushes Tatsuo against the cage but Tatsuo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Okano Kenta dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Tatsuo gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Tatsuo pulls guard. Tatsuo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kenta is one step ahead there. Tatsuo is working an open guard so Kenta takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Kenta tries to keep at a distance but Tatsuo has taken the fight into the clinch. Kenta has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Tatsuo after a bit of a struggle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kenta is trying to force a seperation but Tatsuo has the dominant position. Kenta gets underhooks to prevent Tatsuo's takedown attempt.
Tatsuo swings wildly with an uppercut but Kenta uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kenta pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tatsuo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kenta as he avoids it easily. A momentary lapse in concentration from Kenta enables Tatsuo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kenta manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Kenta working a defensive guard here.
Kenta is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tatsuo defends well. Tatsuo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Tatsuo is in close to Kenta's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tatsuo trying to control but Kenta is working from the bottom. Kenta trying to keep a closed guard but Tatsuo is proving a slippery customer.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Kenta will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kenta lands a jab to the nose. Kenta scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kenta misses with an attempted mid kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kenta dives in for a single leg takedown but Tatsuo sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Okano Kenta. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kenta has Tatsuo pushed against the cage. Tatsuo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kenta pulls him back up using the underhooks. Tatsuo misses with a punch to the body.
Kenta has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Tatsuo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Tatsuo breaks from the clinch.
Tatsuo looks for a takedown but Kenta sprawls well. Tatsuo rushes Kenta and presses him up against the cage. Tatsuo digs a right hand into Kenta's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kenta's gas tank.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kenta tries to pull guard but Tatsuo forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Tatsuo dodges an elbow strike from Kenta.

Tatsuo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kenta pinned against the cage. Kenta gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kenta changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tatsuo tries to avoid it but Kenta manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tatsuo to the ground. Tatsuo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kenta shoots in and drives through. Tatsuo sprawls well. Kenta shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tatsuo as he jumps to the side.
And that's the end of the fight! Ishii Tatsuo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Tatsuo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
