The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes misses with a telegraphed body shot
and O Conner cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by O Conner!
O Conner throws a series of strikes that have Mendes backpedaling.
O Conner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Mendes is bucking up trying to escape but O Conner cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
O Conner is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! O Conner extends the arm and Mendes is forced to tap!
