Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barnaby Grunter (ranked 2524 p4p, 2147 weight class) and Tembakan Pasti (ranked 287 p4p, 242 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grunter takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Pasti throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Grunter.
We've been told by Grunter's head coaches at Rough House that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Grunter swings for the body but Pasti moves out of range.
Pasti missing with a left hand there. Grunter was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Pasti tries to clinch there but Grunter circles away.
Grunter throws a low kick, looking for Pasti's leg but Pasti calmly moves out of range.
Grunter takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Pasti scores with a jab. Grunter acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Pasti tries to close the distance and clinch up but Grunter swats him away and circles back towards the center.
It looked like Grunter wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Pasti cracks Grunter with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Pasti has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Grunter to stand back up!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Grunter avoids the head kick by Pasti.
A little feinted left hand from Grunter on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Nice uppercut lands for Pasti. That snapped Grunter's head back.
Pasti misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pasti is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Grunter swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pasti swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Grunter.
Grunter throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

and Grunter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Grunter counters with a crisp right hand that drops Pasti! Grunter lets Pasti back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

It looks like Tembakan Pasti has been cut.

Grunter swats away the attempt to clinch by Pasti.
It looked like Grunter was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Pasti.

Grunter misses with a straight right.
A telegraphed right hand from Grunter misses the target.
Grunter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pasti throws out the jab.
Pasti fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Grunter on the side of the head.
Pasti throws a jab when Grunter was well out of range.
Grunter fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pasti has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Pasti might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Grunter is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pasti.
Pasti steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Grunter.
Pasti connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Grunter scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Grunter loads up on a big right hand but Pasti slips the punch.
Pasti throws an off balance right hand
and Grunter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Grunter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pasti steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Grunter feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Pasti sprawling to the canvas! Pasti rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Grunter finish him?!

Pasti is rocked!
Grunter throws out a loose jab but Pasti uses good head movement to avoid it.
Grunter takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Pasti dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Grunter. That did some damage!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pasti darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Pasti takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Pasti moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Pasti cracks Grunter with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
