Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hung Young Wang (ranked 1851 p4p, 1692 weight class) and Reese Remington (ranked 211 p4p, 195 weight class). The key to victory for Hung Young Wang has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hung Young Wang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reese Remington!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wang throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Remington counters with a single leg into guard. Wang didn't expect that.

Wang scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Wang looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hung Young Wang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wang lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Wang tries to sprawl but Remington drives through with a takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wang wants to sweep but Remington has passed to side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Remington lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Remington is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Wang wants to improve his position but Remington is controlling well.
Wang is looking to get back to full guard here but Remington has managed to pass to side control instead.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Remington cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A looping hook to the body misses from Wang. Remington does a little dance to reset his feet.

Wang controls Remington momentarily but Remington frees himself.

Remington is fighting to break Wang's control of his arms but Wang is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Wang working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Remington doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Remington manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Remington throws a body punch but Wang moves out of range.

Wang misses with a hook. Remington ducked under it nicely.
Remington uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wang.

Wang is staying active underneath Remington, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Remington trying to control the position from guard on top but Wang is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Wang looking for a guillotine here but Remington defends easily.
Wang can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Remington controls the pace.
Wang looking to hit a scissor sweep but Remington is one step ahead there.
Remington makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Remington has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Remington seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hung Young Wang will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Remington takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Remington in particular looking to stall.
Remington is continuing to stall.
Remington wants to control but Wang is keeping him busy.
Wang seems to have got his legs back now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Remington stalling.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wang is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Reese Remington comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Remington has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
