Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dustin Knight (ranked 2600 p4p, 3334 weight class) and Greg Gaggenwanker (ranked 299 p4p, 380 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dustin Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Greg Gaggenwanker!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knight closes the distance and clinches.
Knight wants to get back to striking at distance but Gaggenwanker won't allow it.
Gaggenwanker has Knight pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Knight manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Knight breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Knight falls off balance throwing a combination

and Gaggenwanker counters with a shoot takedown. Knight fights it but they end up in guard.
Gaggenwanker is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gaggenwanker looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Gaggenwanker is working for a kimura here but Knight manages to reverse the position and he's now in Gaggenwanker's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gaggenwanker bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Knight's guard.

Gaggenwanker slips nicely into half guard.
Knight looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Knight kicks off Gaggenwanker and gets to his feet.
Gaggenwanker tries to close the distance and clinch but Knight swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Knight fails with the takedown.

Knight fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Gaggenwanker fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Knight throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

and Gaggenwanker counters with a single leg into guard. Knight didn't expect that.
Gaggenwanker is pushing down on Knight's leg trying to pass to half guard. Knight is fighting to maintain full guard but Gaggenwanker has managed to sneak the leg through.
Gaggenwanker is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Knight wants to get back to his feet.
Knight on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Knight tries to get out of the position.

Knight has one foot on Gaggenwanker's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Knight shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gaggenwanker's guard.

Gaggenwanker is looking to stand up but Knight isn't so interested in that idea.

That was a close round but I would say that Dustin Knight will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Dustin Knight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Gaggenwanker.

Knight changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gaggenwanker tries to avoid it but Knight manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gaggenwanker to the ground. Gaggenwanker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gaggenwanker changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Knight leaves Gaggenwanker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Dustin Knight is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Knight throws out a loose jab but Gaggenwanker uses good head movement to avoid it.
Knight is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gaggenwanker can do to turn this around?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gaggenwanker is trying to control the action in half guard but Knight is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Knight won't allow Gaggenwanker to pass to mount.
Gaggenwanker takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

A close second round but Greg Gaggenwanker will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Knight throws a good cross that connects.
Knight jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Gaggenwanker changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Knight. Those never looked like landing.

Nice uppercut lands for Knight. That snapped Gaggenwanker's head back.

Let's hope that Gaggenwanker has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Knight is controlling an arm, preventing Gaggenwanker from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Gaggenwanker throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Knight has his hands clasped together but Gaggenwanker breaks the hold and Knight is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Gaggenwanker!
