Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Banner (ranked 2637 p4p, 2024 weight class) and Magilla Gorilla (ranked 258 p4p, 208 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Magilla Gorilla!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gorilla gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Banner can't break the clinch.
Gorilla jumps guard but Banner stands there with Gorilla around his waist. Gorilla gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Gorilla looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gorilla goes for a takedown in the clinch but Banner prevents it.
Gorilla tries to pull guard but Banner won't allow it.
Lamont Banner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Magilla Gorilla.
Gorilla tries to pull guard but Banner holds him up against the cage and eventually Gorilla drops back down to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gorilla gets control of Banner's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gorilla will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Gorilla is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Banner has his hands clasped together but Gorilla extends and breaks Banner's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Gorilla.
