Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Steve Montenegro and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
carnero displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Boss.
carnero shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boss's guard.
carnero postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
carnero advances position into side control!
carnero is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Boss has escaped the position, nice work there.
carnero tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Boss tries to buck carnero off but carnero is having none of it.

carnero really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boss. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

carnero drops back looking for a leg! Boss is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Boss manages to kick carnero off! carnero jumps back into Boss's guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
carnero shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
so Boss counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
carnero is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Boss drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Boss jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Boss won't allow carnero to sweep him here.

carnero is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Boss has his hands clasped together but carnero extends an breaks Boss's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by carnero.
