Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yossi Ragno (ranked 24869 p4p, 24533 weight class) and Pedro Quarto (ranked 514 p4p, 570 weight class). Pedro Quarto will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yossi Ragno! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Pedro Quarto! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Alyssa Summers and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ragno misses with a shot to the body and Ragno takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ragno throws a shot from downtown. Quarto moves away and avoids it. Quarto looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Quarto lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
It looks like Yossi Ragno has been cut. Ragno thuds his right hand into Quarto's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. A nice leg kick from Quarto, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ragno feints and as Quarto raises his hands in defense, Ragno changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Quarto working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ragno. Ragno trying to control but Quarto is working from the bottom. Ragno looking to pass the guard. Ragno missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ragno pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Quarto is keeping the position for now. Ragno slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ragno with a nice head shot there. Ragno preventing the sweep. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ragno's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Ragno with a flurry of punches that miss. Quarto working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ragno. Ragno being controlled here momentarily. Quarto is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ragno works over Quarto with some ground and pound from guard. We've been hearing that Ragno has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ragno's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Ragno is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Ragno postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Ragno postures up in Quarto's guard and throws a big left but Quarto blocks it. Ragno throws an elbow that misses. Quarto uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ragno's guard. Nice move by Quarto! Ragno keeping moving, preventing Quarto from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ragno is on top in guard.
Quarto avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ragno trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Quarto is controlling Ragno's posture. Quarto manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ragno manages to get himself to full guard.
Ragno trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Ragno has his foot on Quarto's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Quarto works his way back into a safe position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ragno working a defensive guard but Quarto passes into half guard.
Ragno slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Ragno not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Quarto must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Quarto controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Ragno is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yossi Ragno dominated that round. The cut man is working on Yossi Ragno's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Ragno misses with a looping left. Quarto misses the jab. Ragno misses the body punch and Quarto counters with a leg kick. A head kick misses from Quarto. Quarto throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. An attempted straight right counter from Ragno misses the target. Quarto swings for the body but Ragno moves out of range.
Ragno lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

enabling Quarto to counter with a crisp jab. Quarto avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Ragno punishes Quarto's body with a nice straight punch. Quarto throws a head kick but Ragno moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quarto connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Quarto throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Quarto misses with a low kick.
Ragno misses with a wild body shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Donk. Quarto catches Ragno right on the button with a cross.
That's one minute gone in the round. A jab from Ragno finds it's way through Quarto's defenses. Quarto avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Ragno misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Quarto.
Quarto lands a jab. Ragno ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A looping hook to the body misses from Ragno. Quarto does a little dance to reset his feet. It seemed like Quarto was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Quarto throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Quarto lands a really nice looking cross but Ragno seems unphased.
Quarto displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ragno throws out the jab. Ragno looks to score with a jab to the body but Quarto is just out of range. Ragno shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Ragno keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quarto on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ragno is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Quarto wants to get back to full guard. Ragno throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Quarto is doing well to control the position and prevent Ragno from advancing to side control. Quarto is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ragno thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Quarto's head. Quarto avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ragno. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ragno throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Quarto tries to get to full guard but Ragno has control of the leg. Ragno is working for a kimura but Quarto is defending it quite comfortably.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Quarto blocking the ground and pound attempt from Ragno. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ragno looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Ragno missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Quarto kicks Ragno off and gets back to his feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Pedro Quarto will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Yossi Ragno's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round! Ragno throws a poor cross that misses
and Quarto counters with a straight right hand. Ragno takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ragno throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Quarto scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Pedro Quarto seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ragno on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Ragno shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Quarto's guard. Ragno content to stall in guard here. Ragno lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Ragno makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Ragno has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ragno lands a couple of decent looking shots. Quarto is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Quarto looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Quarto is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Quarto throws a nice head kick!
Quarto misses with a low kick. Ragno swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Ragno takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Ragno moves out of range as Quarto strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ragno moves away from the strike by Quarto. Ragno tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Quarto defends well and Ragno ends up having to push Quarto into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Quarto breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Donk. Ragno catches Quarto right on the button with a cross. Nice body punch from Quarto. Quarto lands a jab. Quarto throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ragno throwing a counter right hand but Quarto manages to avoid it. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Quarto lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ragno has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ragno and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. A quick step to the side and Ragno tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Quarto throws a combination that misses and Ragno cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Quarto jabs Ragno to the body, keeping him at a distance. Quarto swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ragno takes a swing at Quarto's ribcage but misses. Ragno slips a jab from Quarto. Quarto looks for the body kick but Ragno saw that one coming. Pedro Quarto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Quarto is looking to slow Ragno down with leg kicks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quarto throws out a loose jab but Ragno uses good head movement to avoid it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Quarto slips under a jab from Ragno. Ragno dodges the punch combination from Quarto.
A quick step to the side and Ragno tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. A jab from Ragno misses. Ragno uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Quarto throws a sloppy head kick and Ragno moves out of range easily. Quarto moves out of range of the strikes. Quarto ducks under a wild hook from Ragno. Quarto misses with a looping left. Ragno looks to score with a jab to the body but Quarto is just out of range. Quarto throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Quarto steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ragno. Quarto misses with a low kick.
Quarto pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
And that's the end of the fight! Pedro Quarto comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Quarto has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
