PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Imum Jr (ranked 2436 p4p, 4656 weight class) and Sheldon Hammer (ranked 78 p4p, 215 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Imum Jr swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Imum Jr tries to clinch but Hammer moves out of range.
It seemed like Hammer was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Imum Jr looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Imum Jr goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Sheldon Hammer has been cut.

and Hammer counters with a three punch combo that has Imum Jr backing up. Imum Jr nods at Hammer to acknowledge the strikes.

Imum Jr is looking to clinch but Hammer is avoiding it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Imum Jr tries to bum rush Hammer with a series of wild strikes but Hammer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A little jabbing left from Hammer on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Imum Jr, as that shot connected.
Imum Jr has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Imum Jr pushes off an throws an elbow but Hammer leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Imum Jr has Hammer pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hammer manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Hammer has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Imum Jr uses from the top position.

Sheldon Hammer's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
