Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Flynn Knightley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 6 - 2, fighting out of New York, Jim Bob Walton! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walton looks to score with a jab to the body but Knightley is just out of range. Knightley appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Knightley clinches up with Walton and pushes him back against the cage. A short right from Knightley on the inside. Walton blocking some punches.
Walton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Knightley takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Walton just misses with a punch to the body.
Knightley walks forward, straight into a front kick from Walton. Knightley scores with a three punch combo!
Walton scores with a jab to the jaw.
It looks like Flynn Knightley has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A momentary lapse in concentration from Walton enables Knightley to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Walton manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Knightley stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Walton throws up his legs and catches Knightley in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Knightley tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Walton! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Jim Bob Walton! A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Jim Bob Walton made sure he mentioned Conviction, along with how happy he was to win his fight.
