Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Thlek Buidi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Light Yagami!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yagami with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Yagami misses with the combination.
Buidi doesn't manage to clinch there - Yagami circles away.
Yagami throws a head kick but Buidi moves out of range.
Yagami stuffs the takedown attempt from Buidi. Buidi gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice shot by Yagami.
Buidi shoots in for a takedown but Yagami shows good takedown defense.
Yagami misses with a jab, cross combination.
Buidi walks into a straight right hand from Yagami.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buidi on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Yagami swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Buidi.
A nice inside leg kick there by Yagami. That's going to slow Buidi down.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Yagami lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Yagami fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Yagami misses the shot to the body.
Yagami is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Buidi tries to clinch but Yagami moves away
and Yagami counters with a nice uppercut.
Buidi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Yagami pinned against the cage. Yagami gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thlek Buidi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Buidi closes the distance but Yagami moves to the side
and Yagami counters with a series of strikes. Buidi will be more careful next time no doubt.
Yagami tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Buidi takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Buidi fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Yagami to the ground. Buidi is now in Yagami's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Buidi trying to control the position from guard on top but Yagami is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Buidi passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Yagami is trying to control Buidi's posture. Buidi takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Yagami! Buidi is rotating here... this could be the end... Yagami is out! Buidi has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
