And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nicholas Sartre!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phoenix misses with a jab to the body
and Phoenix takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Phoenix definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Phoenix looks to throw the jab but Sartre is out of range.
Sartre moves away from the strike by Phoenix.
Sartre appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Sartre gets tackled into the cage by Phoenix. Phoenix maintains the clinch.
Sartre misses with a hook from the clinch.
Phoenix tries to land a knee to the head but Sartre blocks with his arms.
A head punch on the inside from Phoenix fails to land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sartre tries to pull guard but Phoenix forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Phoenix misses with a knee to the head.
Phoenix lands with a short shot to the head.
Sartre blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Phoenix makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Sartre is trying to pull guard but Phoenix turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Gerald Phoenix has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicholas Sartre.
