Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Grant Hyde (ranked 479 p4p, 939 weight class) and Arthur King (ranked 59 p4p, 122 weight class). Hyde comes to the cage accompanied by Darkside-Neoni. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grant Hyde!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Arthur King!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyde throws a right hand that misses

and King counters with a shoot takedown. Hyde fights it but they end up in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as King accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hyde keeping moving, preventing King from controlling successfully.
King throwing strikes but missing.
King stops Hyde from standing up.
King's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hyde's guard.
King thows a huge punch but Hyde dodges it nicely.
King prevents Hyde from standing back up.
King tries to pass to full mount but Hyde defends it.

King working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
King moves nicely into side control.
Hyde parries the strikes from King easily there. King is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hyde to escape.
Hyde prevents King from improving position.
King looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Hyde is avoiding damage well.
Hyde tries to escape but King is in control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hyde parries the strikes from King easily there. King is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hyde to escape.

King tries for a kimura but Hyde is defending well.
King tries to move to mount but Hyde blocks the move with his legs.
King wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hyde keeps working.

King is looking to take a break and control but Hyde is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

King is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
King wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hyde keeps working.

King tries for a kimura but Hyde is defending well.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
An elbow from King crashes against the mat.
Hyde defending against the ground and pound.
King misses with the ground and pound.
King throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Hyde wants to get back to his feet but King is dominant here and he's now got Hyde's back!

King is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Hyde staying busy and making it hard for King to control.

King looking to break Hyde's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hyde remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise King will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - King's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

King has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Hyde.
