Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Glass Joe Jr (ranked 2486 p4p, 2393 weight class) and Frans Kronstedth (ranked 236 p4p, 227 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Joe Jr might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Punch Out Theme. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Glass Joe Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Frans Kronstedth!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kronstedth is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Joe Jr.
Nice body punch from Kronstedth.
Joe Jr misses with a looping right.
Kronstedth has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Kronstedth pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kronstedth takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kronstedth jabs at Joe Jr's body.
Kronstedth throws a lazy uppercut
and Joe Jr counters with a stiff right hand.
Joe Jr throws a hook but Kronstedth avoids it easily.
Joe Jr misses the jab.

Kronstedth swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kronstedth lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Joe Jr backs up against the cage.
Joe Jr keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kronstedth.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Joe Jr throws a body shot but no joy.
Kronstedth tries to clinch but Joe Jr is having none of it.

Kronstedth fails with an attempt to clinch.
An attempted straight right counter from Joe Jr misses the target.

Kronstedth misses with a right hand
and Joe Jr connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kronstedth lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kronstedth fails in his attempt to clinch.

Joe Jr has been working on his boxing with his coaches at New York Public Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Kronstedth connects with a good right hand that stumbles Joe Jr. Joe Jr circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Kronstedth tries to clinch but Joe Jr moves out of range.
Kronstedth will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kronstedth lunges at Joe Jr with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Joe Jr's hand.
Kronstedth throws the left hand but Joe Jr avoids the punch easily.
Joe Jr was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Kronstedth avoids a punch combination nicely.
A nice side step and Kronstedth releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Joe Jr throws a right and a left that both miss.
Joe Jr misses with a jab, cross combination.
Joe Jr misses with a looping right.
Joe Jr takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kronstedth scores with a jab. Joe Jr acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Kronstedth is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A counter left hand to the body from Joe Jr misses its target.
Joe Jr throws a lazy uppercut
and Joe Jr takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kronstedth ducks under a wild hook from Joe Jr.
Good shot there by Kronstedth.
Kronstedth tries to clinch but Joe Jr moves away
and Joe Jr counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kronstedth throws a shot from downtown. Joe Jr moves away and avoids it.
Joe Jr seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Kronstedth tests Joe Jr's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kronstedth misses with a hook to the body
and Joe Jr counters with a nice uppercut.
Joe Jr connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kronstedth. Kronstedth circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Joe Jr throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Kronstedth crashing down! Kronstedth tries to stagger back to his feet but Joe Jr just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Kronstedth asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Glass Joe Jr!
