Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kadarius Smoke (ranked 3932 p4p, 2787 weight class) and Sammy Paradise (ranked 312 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kadarius Smoke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sammy Paradise!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Bruno Lombardi and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paradise tries to clinch but Smoke is having none of it.
Smoke misses with a double jab
and Paradise counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
A low kick lands for Paradise.

Paradise clinches up with Smoke and pushes him back against the cage.
Smoke wants to break the clinch but can't.
Smoke's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Paradise manages to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Paradise lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Smoke throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smoke keeping moving, preventing Paradise from controlling successfully.
Smoke looking to hit a scissor sweep but Paradise is one step ahead there.
Paradise stands up over Smoke, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Smoke remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Well, if Smoke is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Smoke's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Paradise won't allow Smoke to pass to mount.

Paradise tries to kick Smoke off but Smoke keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Paradise misses with a takedown attempt - Smoke sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Paradise shoots in looking for a takedown. Smoke tries to sprawl out of it but Paradise keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smoke manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kadarius Smoke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sammy Paradise.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Paradise takes the fight into the clinch.
Smoke is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Paradise tries to free his leg and advance position but Smoke is retaining full guard.
Paradise postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Paradise pushes Smoke back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Smoke working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Paradise controls Smoke momentarily but Smoke frees himself.

Smoke has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Paradise is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Paradise looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Smoke is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Paradise to keep the fight standing.
