The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Josh West.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Gracie closes the distance and clinches.

Lalla manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Lalla really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gracie wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lalla, who protects the arm well.

Gracie goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Lalla has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gracie but great work by Lalla.

Gracie tries to buck Lalla off but Lalla is having none of it.
Lalla is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We've been hearing good reports from Lalla's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Gracie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lalla manages to get himself to full guard.

Lalla is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gracie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lalla manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gracie has Lalla in his guard.

Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lalla defends well.

Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Gracie is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Lalla has his hands clasped together but Gracie extends and breaks Lalla's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Gracie.
