Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Sonny Silva (ranked 4169 p4p, 5034 weight class) and Hayato Tani (ranked 129 p4p, 156 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Tani's choice of entrance music: Takeshi's Castle Theme. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sonny Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hayato Tani!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a hook. Tani ducked under it nicely.
Silva throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tani takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Silva definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Silva lands a nice shot that snaps Tani's head back.
Silva throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
It seemed like Tani was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Tani lands the left hand.
A looping hook to the body misses from Silva. Tani does a little dance to reset his feet.
Silva lands with an overhand left.

letting Tani counter with a right hand.
The fighters circling - Silva throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Tani! But no joy.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tani tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Silva smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Silva is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

A little jabbing left from Tani on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Tani looks to throw the jab but Silva is out of range.

Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Silva throws out a loose jab but Tani uses good head movement to avoid it.
Silva ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sonny Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Silva falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tani counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Silva is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Tani is looking to clinch.
Tani works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Tani gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Silva scores with a nice head shot.
It looks like Hayato Tani has been cut.
Tani lands a jab to the head.
Silva is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

It looked like Silva was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Tani closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the ropes.

Tani avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tani slips under a jab.
Silva throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Silva lands a nice looking body shot.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Tani has Silva up against the ropes in a clinch.
Tani swings away with an uppercut that misses.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Silva is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tani can do to turn this around?
Tani tries to get into range but Silva steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Tani! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Silva scores the big KO victory!
