Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Morgan Freeman (ranked 1234 p4p, 1241 weight class) and Passion Pacio (ranked 131 p4p, 133 weight class). Morgan Freeman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Morgan Freeman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Passion Pacio!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pacio bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Pacio throws a jab but it's blocked by Freeman.
Pacio's coach down at Zanshin MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pacio's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Freeman uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pacio.
Donk. Freeman catches Pacio right on the button with a cross.

Freeman throws an overhand right that lands on Pacio's shoulder, as Pacio tries to avoid the shot.
Pacio swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Freeman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pacio swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Freeman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Freeman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The fighters circling - Freeman throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Freeman throws a looping overhand right but Pacio ducks down to avoid it.
Freeman misses with a left hand
and Pacio counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pacio throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Freeman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pacio's waist but Pacio gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Freeman off to one side.
Pacio swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Freeman definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Freeman throws an overhand right that lands on Pacio's shoulder, as Pacio tries to avoid the shot.
Freeman shoots in for a double leg but Pacio sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Freeman fails with an attempt to clinch.
Freeman ducks under a wild hook from Pacio.
Freeman shoots in looking for a takedown but Pacio manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Freeman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Morgan Freeman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Freeman blocks a jab.
Freeman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pacio tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Freeman is in Pacio's guard.
Pacio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Freeman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Freeman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pacio swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pacio can do anything to dispel that myth.
Freeman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Freeman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Freeman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Freeman loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Freeman passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The ground and pound from Freeman seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Freeman is looking to take a break and control but Pacio is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Freeman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Freeman has an Americana. Pacio didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Freeman is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Freeman hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
