Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carlton Harris (ranked 5229 p4p, 5126 weight class) and Asher Sherman (ranked 409 p4p, 406 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carlton Harris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Asher Sherman! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sherman as he jumps to the side. Harris shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sherman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Harris stands up from guard. Let's bang! Harris pushes Sherman up against the ropes in a clinch. Sherman can't get the takedown.
Harris lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes. Sherman has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Harris successfully pulls guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sherman is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Sherman stands and steps away. Harris gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Harris definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Sherman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Harris's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sherman wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving. Sherman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Sherman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Harris. Sherman wants to counter with a clinch but Harris pushes him away. Nice uppercut there from Harris. Harris cracks Sherman with a good jab. Harris lands a jab. Harris lands a nice looking body shot.

Despite the aggression on Sherman's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Harris moves out of range as Sherman throws a body kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sherman jumps guard but Harris stands there with Sherman around his waist. Sherman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Harris is trying to drag Sherman to the mat but Sherman just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlton Harris. That's going to take a lot out of him. Harris jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sherman walks away with a smile on his face. Harris gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Sherman clinches up with Harris and pushes him back against the ropes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Harris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Harris looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Harris clinches up with Sherman and pushes him back against the ropes. Harris with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Sherman blocks a body shot from Harris. Sherman throws a head punch that misses. Sherman tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Harris just stands there and leans against the ropes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sherman lands a good knee to the midsection. Harris won't want to take too many of those. Harris lands a nice shot to the body. Sherman looks winded! Harris wants to break free but Sherman has control.
Harris has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Sherman tries to pull guard but Harris forces him back to his feet, against the ropes. Harris jumps guard but Sherman turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing. Harris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Harris throws a series of punches but Sherman moves out of range. Carlton Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sherman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sherman wants it to stay on the feet. Sherman tries to counter by closing the distance. Sherman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Harris pinned against the ropes. Harris gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Sherman has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sherman misses with a hook from the clinch. Harris is looking to take this one to the mat. Harris pulls Sherman into guard.
Sherman won't allow Harris to sweep him here. Sherman wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Harris pulls Sherman in to control the position. Harris bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sherman's guard. Sherman looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Harris puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Harris takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Carlton Harris dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Harris has a takedown stuffed. Harris shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sherman defends it nicely. Sherman rushes Harris and presses him up against the ropes. Harris stops a takedown attempt from Sherman.

Harris wanted to stand there but Sherman had control of the position. Harris trying to control the position from guard on top but Sherman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Harris has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Harris would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harris postures up and lands a big shot to Sherman's brow. Harris gets to his feet. Sherman looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Harris has managed to clinch.

We're back to striking at a distance. Harris tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sherman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Harris somewhat. Harris swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sherman.

Harris is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sherman can do to turn this around? Harris shoots for a double leg takedown but Sherman sprawls well. He's pushed Harris's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Danga de danga de dang - Harris scores with a four punch combination! Harris tries to clinch there but Sherman circles away.
Sherman moves into the clinch. Sherman fails to pull the fight into his guard.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Harris. Carlton Harris has scored more points in the clinch so far. Sherman misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Harris.
Sherman looking to slow down the pace here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sherman is trying to pull guard but Harris has him pressed against the ropes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Harris manages to break the clinch.
Harris shoots in and gets a takedown into Sherman's guard. Sherman is looking to stand back up but Harris counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Sherman. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Carlton Harris dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Harris will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Sherman goes for a double leg but Harris avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Harris continues to drive forward. Sherman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Harris. Harris clobbers Sherman with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Sherman shoots and misses and Harris counters with a one-two to the body.
Sherman is rocked! Harris misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Sherman is still on wobbly legs! Can Harris finish him? Harris rushes Sherman and presses him up against the ropes. Harris lands a left hand.

Harris has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Sherman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Harris lands a shoulder strike. Harris is looking to take this one to the mat. A shot in the inside from Harris. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Harris stalling against the ropes.

Harris lands a body punch. Harris jumps guard and drags Sherman to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Harris keeping moving, preventing Sherman from controlling successfully. Harris bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sherman's guard. Harris is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Sherman wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Harris manages to pass to side control. Harris stands up and beckons Sherman to join him on the feet. Harris attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Sherman checks a leg kick nicely. Carlton Harris is winning the standup battle so far. Harris is looking to land body kicks. Harris throws out a powerful jab. Harris with a nice cross. Harris has taken the fight to the clinch.

Harris lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Sherman backwards. Harris lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Harris's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Harris lands with a nice combination. Sherman backs away looking to recover. Harris lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Harris throws a sloppy head kick and Sherman moves out of range easily. Harris moves into the clinch. Harris scores with a shot to the side of Sherman's head. Harris tries a knee to the head but Sherman blocks it.

Nice move. Harris lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Harris looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Harris works his way into side control. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Harris controls the position from side control. Harris lands some shots froms side control. Harris stands up and we're back to a striking position. Harris moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Harris cracks Sherman on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Sherman falls backwards against the ropes. Harris follows up with more strikes that drop Sherman to his knees. Harris keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Sherman! This one is all over!
