The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Fiachna clinches.
Arby drops down looking for an ankle pick but Fiachna pulls his leg out and moves away.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Arby has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Arby pushes Fiachna up against the ropes in a clinch.

Fiachna is trying to control Arby's posture but Arby avoids it.
Fiachna is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Arby is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
We've been hearing good reports from Fiachna's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Fiachna is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Fiachna is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Arby defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
You can see the frustration on Arby's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
